The admission process
Our admission process involves – enquiries, interview and intake.
Enquiries for vacancies into Wamy Academy are directed to the front office and handled by the School secretary/ Office Assistant.
Interested learners book for an interview and are given a siutable date to availe themselves for the interview which will be used for the intake.
After the interview the HOD writes a report based on the interview results and makes recommendation on the way forward.
Admission breakdown inquiries
Enquiries
- Enquiries for vacancies into Wamy Academy are directed to the front office and handled by the School secretary/ Office Assistant.
- The parent/guardian is then given a brief history of the school and a tour around the school
- Any other information regarding admission is communicated to the parent. ( Application, fee structure, booklist and uniforms, availability of transport etc.)
Interview
Interested learners sit for a written interview upon payment of ksh1000 and are scheduled for interview earliest possible.
We conduct interviews for :PP1 & PP2, Interview for PP1 and PP2 shall include:
a) Listening and speaking
b) Reading
c) Writing
Grade 1 to class 6 Interview is conducted in all learning areas or as advised by the HOD.
High school vacancies are available for Form 1 and 2. For high school the interview is tested on five subjects ( Math, English, Kiswahili, Biology and Chemistry).NB: For Learners from the Diaspora Kiswahili subject is not tested.
After the interview the H.O.D. writes a report based on the interview results and makes recommendation on whether the child should be admitted or not.
The report is handed over to the school heads or the school manager for further decision making based on the recommendations of the H.O.D.
The manager or the school heads inform the parent about the interview results and the decision made on admission request. With the decision to admit the child into the school, the secretary is advised to issue an Admission form. Parents pay a registration fee of Kshs 3,000 in order to secure the admission.

Admission requirements
Upon payment of the registration fee the parent receives the following:
a)Admission form.
The parent shall also attach the following documents to the admission form:
i) Transfer letter from the previous school
ii) Last Term Report form
iii) 2 passport size photographs
iv) Copy of Birth certificate
v) Copy of Parent/guardian I.D
b) Updated Booklist
c) School uniform Description
d) Fee structure
NB: – The parent /guardian shall be required to make all the necessary payments as per the school Fee payment policy, before full admission of the child into the school.The parent/guardian shall be advised on the reporting datep
Admission Day
The Secretary shall receive the admission form from the parent together with school fee payment slip and ensure all the details are filled correctly and all required documents are attached. The school secretary shall feed all the details into the school system and issue an admission number for the child. Upon completion of the process, the Head/Teacher calls upon the class teachers to receive the learner. The class teacher takes the child to class, add his/her name to the register and assigns the child a locker and a chair and a proper sitting positio
