Wamy Foundation

Wamy Academy is a school built on Islamic foundations. The school offers pastoral care to the all learners.

Wamy Academy strives to create a harmonious balance between academic demands, sporting and cultural activities and community life,this is achieved through our integrated education style.

Wamy Academy is a school whose core principles are based on integrity and good moral values. We aim to ensure success as a lifelong mission, achieving this through partnership with parents, teachers, support staff and the school management. The cohesive community and teaching approach enable our students to be stimulated and challenged academically.

We are a cohesive and caring community that believes in traditional values, we are very proud of everyone who plays their part. Our students leave as confident, well-rounded young people, ready and keen to take their place in society. We offer both the 8-4-4 and the CBC. Within this framework, we contextualize our learning to make the most of the rich opportunities offered by the environment in which we live.

Curriculum

WAMY we offers the CBC curriculum, for the very important development stage. This prepares children for school and future learning in a happy, active, exciting, fun and secure environment, supporting your child’s development, care and learning needs. As children reach grade 1 at the age of (5 – 6 years) we prepare them for the transition to Primary.

Learning

Thematic Learning At our early school, teachers use thematic units to engage children in the learning process with a variety of lessons and projects in subjects from art and music to science and math. A common theme keeps student learning focused on a broad concept while touching on specific knowledge and skills throughout.Thematic units provide one of the best vehicles for integrating content areas in a way that makes sense to children and helps them make connections to transfer knowledge they learn and apply it in a meaningful way.
